The host council reviews within 7 days. It's a light touch: mostly checking fit and overlap with the rest of the calendar.

3 formats that work

Forum or panel

A half-day or evening program with a stated thesis. Audience of 50 to 300. Best if you have speakers to anchor and a defined topic.

Founder dinner

Small tables under Chatham House Rule. 20 to 40 seats, no press. We help with curation if you bring the thesis and the venue.

Lab or floor tour

Private access to a manufacturing floor, lab or prime facility in the SoCal corridor. Capped by the venue.

Who hosts

Deep-tech funds, prime contractors, federal programs, accelerators, university labs, media and operator collectives. Solo founders are welcome if the event is well scoped.

What we look for. A specific thesis, a curated invite list and a secured venue. We don't approve recruiting-only events or vendor pitches without a program.

What you get. A listing on the official schedule, cross-promotion to the cohort, SDTW banner assets, optional introductions to partner venues, and an overlap report afterward.

2026 status. Submissions for 2026 are closed; the calendar ran 18 events. Proposals for 2027 open ahead of the week.
